The Rutgers University Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee assists Department of Transportation Services (Dots) and the Office of University Planning and Development (OUPD) to identify locations with bicycle and pedestrian problems and discuss ideas for potential solutions. They also help to promote the awareness of bicyclist and pedestrian rights to the Rutgers University community. RU Bicycle Paths Map

 

The network of bicycle and pedestrian pathways is an important piece of the overall transportation system. To maintain and develop this network Dots and OUPD work together to:

Enhance connectivity within and between campuses

Improve safety of existing facilities

Implement improvements to locations withour adequate accommodations to bicyclists and pedestrians

Increase awareness of the benefits of bicycling and walking through information and education
